KING Kynder and a Singer

Series# 1.King Omnie ‘Kynder’  

Introduction: King Kynder was a very loving ruler among his natives. He was very kind hearted, soft natured and affectionate host. He had many unique interests. His original name was Omnie but because of his qualities, citizens of his state rewarded him with the name ‘Kynder’. He used to give a special gift to all the guests of their wish who were coming to the Palace. His fragrance of behaviour was spread all around in the world. Many Kings challenged and tested him in multifarious ways. On many occasions, brainy people mocked at him still he was living his life like a shining star. He faced jealousy everywhere yet his aim of life was to plant happiness everywhere.

Once there was a grand two days function in the neighbouring state of King Kynder. It was organized  by King Gloomio. There were special animal shows with the feast for the guests. Gloomio didn’t have Kynder’s name in the guests’ list but to make his fun he invited him too. Gloomio and many other kings had grudges with Kynder as they were strict in their ruling whereas Kynder was a gentle king. People loved Kynder a lot. So, Gloomio planned with his friends to insult Kynder.

All the guests were reaching at Gloomio’s decorated palace. Kings were coming on well dressed elephants or in the colourful palanquins along with their many guards and slaves. King Kynder also entered but on a horse and all alone.

Nobody welcomed Kynder but the other kings were received by Gloomio warm heartedly. All laughed at Kynder and called him poor kind king. Kynder was not affected by their behaviour at all. He was happy with the helpers also who guided him for the guest room, which was unlike other guests.

While presentations of the animals, Kynder was given a seat far from the sitting area of other kings. All were enjoying animal fights but Kynder wanted to stop those. He wished to make every bird free from the cages which were brought there for Bird show.

At lunch also he wasn’t called by any host.

In the evening, there was a poetry singing programme. All the kings, queens and other guests were sitting together. A famous poet entered with a poem written on a paper. The poem was given to him by Gloomio. The lines of the poem were written on Kynder and those were like…

Breeze is blowing

Birds are singing,

A fool king’s story

Everywhere ringing

Who lives with slaves

Supports every sin,

Friend of none

Seems like a dustbin.

All wanted to listen the poet. Gloomio was also eagerly waiting for those lines so that he could laugh at Kynder.

Suddenly, the poet looked at Kynder. He recognized him. Poet recalled his past when he was a simple farmer and was habitual of singing. Once Kynder heard his poetry and supported him with money to change the profession.

Immediately, poet changed the lyrics. He stood near Kynder and sang for him….

Breeze is saying

Birds are singing,

A kind king’s story

Everywhere ringing

Who supports the slaves

Forgives every sin,

Friend of all

The Kynder is a ‘Win’.

Gloomio got very angry at the poet but the whole crowd started singing the same in Kynder’s praise.

A pet bird of Gloomio sang sitting on his shoulder, ‘The ones who care of all, are loved and never get a fall.’
