Once upon a time there was a king. He was famous for his decisions and equality. In his kingdom, all the citizens were happy and satisfied whether they were earning a lot or less.
One morning, king visited the Gurukul Ashram. There were many students along with the Prince. All were busy in an activity.
Guru asked them to pluck fruits from a tree. The students plucked many fruits. Even, they collected raw fruits and flowers. Prince broke a branch to win the activity. There was a son of cobbler also in the Gurukul. His name was Hari. He plucked only ripened fruits.
Guru shared that all the students damaged flowers and raw fruits except Hari. He declared him the winner.
The king became more curious to see next activity.
Guru brought a hen, a duck, a mouse and a dog together. He asked students to choose one from all to save its life from dog.
One by one, all the students came for their chance. Most of the students choose duck as it was beautiful. Few selected mouse or hen. But Hari held dog itself and won the activity again.
The king was very much impressed by Hari’s intelligence and decision making. He thought to give a special post to Hari in his ministry.
After a month, there was a deadly disaster spreading in the state. People were dying continuously and nobody could find out the reason of it. The king was very much worried. He was trying his best to manage the situation.
Suddenly he thought of Hari. He announced in the state that whoever would find out the reason of deaths would be the next king. The Prince became very angry but he was helpless.
Many people started working in groups.
The Prince wanted to become next king so he called some soldiers to help him. He sent them in a village where the deaths were in the highest number. The Prince stayed in the palace only. Soldiers brought the news that there might be something poisonous in the water of the lake. So, the Prince thought that people who drank water of it, died.
Hari was actively taking rounds of the state. One morning, he came to the king. He requested for all the donkeys and camels of the state to bring sand.
Hari invited the king and people to know the reason of calamity. He took help of teenagers to fill a well with sand. The poisonous gases came out of the well and mixed with fresh air. All were safe then and gases didn’t harm teenagers and animals as they had strong immune power.
Hari cleared to all that at first he found out about the place where maximum people died. He himself visited and made data sheet of died people. He noticed that it hit only sick, weak and old aged people. So, he planned the experiment of sand after discussion with the doctors of Gurukul.
King and everyone presented there started clapping for Hari.
King felt proud to announce that next king of his Dynasty was Hari only. The king showed the best example of equality that day.
