Achal and Avichal were the best friends. Their friendship was famous in the college. Other students suggested them to take part in a unique competition held at Achalpur. It was specially arranged for friends to test their depth of friendship.
That year, the theme of the competition was Performance based. In II year of college, both Achal and Avichal performed a play being a tiger and a lamb. They showed an example of rare friendship.
But judges said, “How can a tiger and a lamb be friends in real world? It’s against nature.”
At the same time two friends played roles of Shri Krishna and Sudama with such expressions that viewers got tears in their eyes.
They’re declared as winners.
With new energy and aspiration Achal and Avichal participated the next year again. It was an Art based competition. They made a wonderful sculpture of joining hands. All appreciated their work.
In the event two friends also participated. One friend was blind and one lost his hands in an accident. Blind friend gave colours to his friend randomly. The specially abled created a mind blowing mural using his legs.
While getting first prize, he said that every colour which was given by his blind friend was more than the sunlight to him. People clapped for them like they never before.
Achal and Avichal were in IV year when they wanted to prove their friendship for the last time. The theme was Sports then.
Achalpur was decorated by local artists. All the groups and pairs performed very well.
Achal and Avichal wanted to show their coordination through gymnastics with music. They didn’t want to lose their last chance of winning.
Achal ran to show a series of cartwheels. Suddenly, he screeched loudly. His one leg’s nerve got pulled and he fell down on the spot.
He saw Avichal with helpless sight and said, “Sorry brother, all because of me.”
Avichal replied, “Things happen for good. Let’s do friendship yoga.” He made Achal sit on his shoulders. He further announced, “Here we present our understanding. That’s it!”
Both showed an exceptionally well performance with many yogasanas. Achal also showed handstand and other postures being on shoulders. Avichal also balanced confidently.
Sky echoed with the sound of clapping and appreciation. A judge out of jury stood and said, “At last, the true friendship spoke from the hearts.”
It was an emotional moment when the award was given to Achal and Avichal.
