The situation made him Sherlock Homes. He was doubting every bee and ant visible in his book store, for reading books without paying. His name was Happy but his life had become weary and mystified.
He anticipated that somebody was reading books in his book store where books were showcased for selling. He would never allow anybody to take advantage and read books for free. His fancy thoughts were flourishing day by day. As a result, he started suspecting even children for reading his Bestseller books without paying a single rupee.
The seeds of suspicion were sowed by mumbling. Numerous times Mr Happy, who was no more happy those days, heard muttering sounds in the store. He wasn’t successful in tracing the culprit who was attempting a crime again and again while reading his treasured Bestseller books without paying bill.

The anxious and annoyed store keeper kept his special eye even at infants and children coming with parents at the store. But he never assumed that books could also talk.
“These humans don’t think out of the context.” a book exclaimed with a smile.
“Whisper! My friend, else Mr Happy would again send some innocent kids out of the store.” answered another book.
Indigent store keeper couldn’t dream about conversation among books. His light of intelligence was reaching up to people, their pets, children, infants moreover insects but to imagine about books communicating with each other was beyond his life skills.
Books exhibited at store were in practice of sharing their information. In addition they used to converse about the happenings of the time when their writers wrote these books. They conveyed moods of writers, challenges and situations came in the way of writing as well as in publishing those books.
That morning, sunrise was aromatized. Enriching prayers were being chanted by a new writer’s book kept in the first shelf. It was written by a lady about poems and prayers. It was named as ‘Preaching Platform’. Hearty prayers were enjoyed by the other books.
The environment of sharing was extended by a Bestseller book ‘Me is You!’ It started speaking with it’s soft words. Exquisite ways of living positively were written on each page with pictures of daily life situations. Every word enunciated by this Bestseller book, written by Mr Kartikey, was energizing hearts of other books, magazines and DVDs kept in the store.
Books written on children and animals were so engrossed with the interesting words of ‘Me and You!’ that they forgot to blink their eyes. All books were listening keenly. But the store keeper, managing news papers, was unable to listen any uttering.
Fascination was scattered all around by book of Mr Kartikey. Constructive words were blooming in all the brains developing values and morals. All the books were feeling very light and gleeful. But it became a genuine reason of competition for an another Bestseller book ‘Valuing Present’. It was written by Mr B. Shetty on the importance of the present time. It interrupted book of Mr Kartikey and started speaking about itself.

It was criticizing the happenings of past badly and there was no mentioning of the future even. within minutes, it took over and started giving self appraisals. The lives of other books were saved by a Government officer who came to collect two best seller books of the year for a function. The store keeper picked two books which were ‘Me is You!’ and ‘Valuing Present‘. He handed over to the officer. The other books wished them good luck and bid good bye.
A spectacular function was scheduled by the government to honour writers. There was a competition held at the function between the selected writers to decide the best one. The name of the Award for the best one was ‘Best Writer @ 360 Degree‘.
The Community Hall of the function was full of many famous writers, publishers, painters, poets, creative thinkers, critics, sponsors and media people. The function was organized by a group ‘Crafting Creation‘. It had a trend to felicitate upcoming authors, writers of Bestselling books and hard working publishers.
A unique system was added to the famous function. The authors of two Bestselling books were expected to give speeches. As per jury, the best speaker would get the Award, ‘Best Writer @ 360 Degree‘.
Mr B. Shetty was invited to share his views at first. Jury penal was ready to assess both the participants for a bona fide declaration. Many good thoughts, quotations, poems, extracts of famous celebrities, self appreciation and many more things were spoken by him.
He was towards his end of the speaking when suddenly a child got hurt with a keychain. His crying grabbed attention of Mercury till Pluto but Mr Shetty remained as Himalayas. He was continued with his speaking. Mother of the child took him at a corner to divert his mind while keeping silence in the Hall.
Mr Kartikey, a grounded personality was called as the next speaker. He was least bothered of Mr B. Shetty who had used almost every flashy word of dictionary to impress jury and media. He was a man of simplicity. He rose as a matured person with calm expressions on his face. The satisfaction, visible in his eyes was a rare achievement. All expected him to go at the stage but he moved towards the crying child.
Mr Krtikey carrying baby steps started singing a rhyme,
“Lovely children
Beautiful flowers,
Sunshine blesses
Cloud showers.
As smiling faces
Are God’s gift,
I am a feather, whom
Someone crying can lift.”

The crying stopped instantly. The Hall echoed with laughter of the child when Mr Kartikey tried to sit in his lap. Smiling mother thanked him by heart. Everyone presented in the Hall was elated with the unique gesture of Mr Kartikey. He offered his hand and the child happily moved with him to the stage.
The Bestseller books of Mr Kartikey and Mr B. Shetty were kept at the desk. They were waiting eagerly for their masters to win the Award.
With a sweet smile Mr Kartikey quoted, “We all are part of the Supreme energy. We should practice the path of equality and happiness. My dear friend taught me to value the present time so I choose to make a child smile who was crying rather than speaking about myself. Thank you all!”
Clapping hands, constant picture clicking and standing ovation were proof of his winning. The Jury appreciated qualities of his who had implemented his writings through his deed.
The respect for Mr Kartikey was increased among the audience when he gifted his Award to Mr B. Shetty with the words, “Me is you.”
The Bestselling book ‘Valuing Present’ felt sorry at it’s behaviour and congratulated the book ‘Me is You!’ at it’s real success.

Ultimate story with a poem like quote. By reading this story we can imagine a book store where a situation made a shopkeeper Sherlock Holmes and where each book reads them to other books
Such a beautiful story. I kept a screen shot of the poem to be posted on my whatsapp wall.
